In order for one to write an article review it is good to understand what article review really is. In other words article review in an evaluation of the article. The reviewer will perform a constructive analysis of the article. In order to properly review the article, the paper should be cut in several parts.
Introduction:
Here the writer talks about the article, who is the writer of the article. Here the reviewer also mentions the main idea of the article and the main points the writer talks about. In other words it is a summary of the article.
Main body:
In main body the reviewer evaluates the authors’ work. The writer evaluates the structure of the article. Then it is worth talking about writer’s findings. If any research methods were described in the article the reviewer needs to talk about these methods, if they were effective or not. The reviewer can also identify research gaps and suggest new research methods. The reviewer can agree or disagree with the writer’s ideas. In any case the reviewer can use other sources to support his point of view.
Conclusion:
Many students have hard time understanding what the difference between introduction and conclusion is. The main point in the conclusion is not only to summarize all the said above, but to generate new ideas. The review should include what new information he has learnt, what conclusion can be drawn from the information read. It is also worth noting new questions that can be asked based on the article.
