You don’t need overtime to work a lot. You can do a lot in just a few hours – and the same handful of hours can leave you completely exhausted. I don’t work a lot of hours, but I love to think I am very productive. When I work, I try to avoid procrastination as much as possible. So, at the end of the day, I have precious hours of me-time to spend. For a long time, all I did was binge-watch my favorite series on Netflix, but later I realized that they were hours I wasted. I often did nothing but browse Facebook for hours, while Partick Jane or Agent Seely Booth solved their cases on screen (I’m a huge fan of police procedural shows). Hours wasted. Things had to change – and they did. Meaning that I changed. I changed the things I did in my free time, and the results soon started to show.
Don’t just browse the web
Today I don’t just sit idly in front of my PC to browse through crazy cat pictures and meaningless status updates on Facebook. I grew these out, no matter how much fun they seem. Today I focus on improving myself and staying informed in my area of expertise. I’m always looking for new ideas to write about, and new techniques to improve my writing – and the internet has a huge load of information that I can use. Oh, and I also deleted the Facebook app from my phone – it made me much more productive.
Besides, I complete an occasional survey or two. They don’t take up too much of my time, and the rewards are slowly adding up.
Don’t just play games
I used to play Slotomania, but I don’t anymore. I realized that I invest too much time – and money – into it, with no returns. Instead, I turned to allslotscasino.com for a better quality and more rewarding time. The All Slots Casino has more games than any social casino, and their quality is much better. Besides, when I pay to play at the All Slots Casino, I can expect returns – real returns, not virtual coins. I don’t spend more at All Slots Casino than I spent at Slotomania. And, so far, I can say that my time (and money) were worth it.
Don’t just read
Reading blogs and news is a great way to spend your time, but writing them is perhaps even more rewarding. Especially in the long run, if you are good at it. Writing a personal blog can be a perfect way to vent all your frustration anonymously online, which reduces stress, and helps you sleep better at night. Plus, if you are good, you may even turn your personal (or professional) blog into a source of income. But that’s another story for another occasion.
